A bunch of A/C and heat pump videos. Most of them are Trane and Armstrong Air units. There also a few ductless split systems, including a Goodman. Enjoy!

It was really hot today, a perfect day to crank up that central air. There is one particular spot I know where there are untold numbers of central air-conditioners and heat pumps all in an area of less than one mile! The first two are a couple of Trane standard efficiency units, and the second one is a very old Lennox. I also made video of two Fujitsu ductless minisplit air-conditioners and a newer Lennox

Went out into town with my cousin, and made videos of some of the condensing units, including two very poorly installed Rheem Classic XA/C units.

The unit still works great, but it is beginning to show its age, and doesn’t do the best job of cooling the huge family room which is on the opposite side of the house from where the air-conditioner is located. The house was built in 1957 and is somewhere in the 1300-1400 square foot range if the space of the family room (converted from a 1-car garage in the 1970s) and the finished basement are included. It was probably about 900-1100 square feet in its original layout. In addition to the electricity, my Grandma’s home features oil for the heat, obviously, and propane for the range/oven, fireplace, dryer, and more than likely the hot water heater. Contrary to what I said, I asked my Grandmother, and she believes the furnace/boiler (do not know what it is) to be the original one that came with the house. The next door neighbor’s oil furnace went out in the eighties, and they requested and were able to hook their house into publicly provided natural gas. The stove and hot water baseboard heat are gas.
