i am just wondering if there is such a thing as an air conditioner that doesn’t have to go in a window. but not like central air. cuz this summer im goin to camp and its always really hot and fans arent much of a help. if this does exist then where can i get one?
There are systems available now that use active filtering instead of passive filters that just sit there collect stuff.
BTW, “Puron” is just Carrier’s name for R-410A refrigerant – the same stuff everybody uses.

We bought an air conditioner that fits in the window today and when we went to mount it realized it is for the tall vertical windows. We have a window that slides horizontally.
Is there such a thing as a window air conditioner for HORIZONTAL windows? Or if not, is there a converter kit?
Thanks!
if it sucks all of the muisture out of the air then yes
We have crank out windows and cannot figure out a way to install a window air conditioning unit. Is there such a thing as an indoor air conditioner that needs no ventilation?
I’m in southern california and so are my grandparents. They are kinda old and the heat makes them weaker. A fan doesn’t do much as it just spreads the hot air. We can’t use an air conditioner that requires a vent. Preferably something that can sit in the middle of the room, plugged in, and can make hot air. Might sound too good to be true, but anyone have any ideas? Price and where to get it as well. THanks.
If there was such thing as a solar powered air conditioner how can you get one and how much? Think of how much electricity that would save! Especially in the summer when it gets really hot and lots of people waste so much energy and power just to cool down their whole house. Is there anything that can explain how this can be done?
