Is it possible? I always get sick at this time of year and I think it might be because the air conditioner upstairs (where my room is) is really cold, my mom keeps it on 68. I don’t actually know if that is that cold but it is cold to me. I am in my basement now and it is a lot warmer and I am kind of feeling better. But is it possible for a cold house to get you sick?
After 3 weeks of this, I finally went to my doctor today and she said I have an alergy to cold breezes. Always when the breeze/vent is right over my head; I’ve even gotten sick from Cassablaca fans over my head. My Dr. prescribed an “ARMLOAD” of meds (nasal, cough & phlegm) to keep me from being sleepy.
What I don’t get, is the management acts as though I’m just a chronic complainer (I’m not at all), and won’t even try to help.
I’ve feigned another reason for moving to a different desk next week, when this guy is leaving. Is there anything I should I expect the management to do? I’m so tired of being sick there. I feel better the moment the AC shuts off at 6pm, and definitely when I leave every evening I feel better. Weekends are HEAVEN! Anyone with suggestions?
I’ve gotten sick like this before in restaurants and lounges; & now, alll I’ve get is “and how do you KNOW the a/c is causing you to be sick?”. Is it all my responsibility?
I have an old wall A/C in my apartment…this year I’ve gotten a lot of bronchitis. It always seems like I get sick after sitting home in front of the air conditioner on a hot weekend.
