I sat near the air conditioner in the library and it started to make me sniffle, now since then, my nose has been running like CRAZY and its made me stopped up, it wont stop running, and my ears are hurting too

I’ve been using this in wall air conditioner for about 2 years+ but sometimes it works and other times it just makes the noise but doesn’t blow any air. What could cause this?

I live in a tropical country. What are your tips to make my room less warmer in the afternoon? Buying airconditioner is my last plan coz it will cost me a lot but i dont worry that much about our electric bill.
My room is not that big and made of wood. Im on the second floor and has two medium size window. From 11am to 5pm the heat of the sun makes my room like a life-size oven toaster.
Ive reduced the clutter in my room, furniture and will be painting my walls white and blue.
Ive heard about insulating powders that could be added in the wall paint and thermal curtain but they seem unavailable here.

When the air conditioner is on and almost every time I first apply the gas it makes a farting noise (for lack of a better term), its only for a second. Is this the muffler? Can I do anything to make it stop?

I’m supposed to do an automated lighting system for a block in my university, but instead of lights my professor suggests me to design an automated air conditioner instead…but the problem is the air conditioner in the block is centralized – is it possible to automate those air conditioners to turn on and off according to human presence in each class?

I have two cats, one is fearless and couldn’t care less about the noise, but the other hides under the bed and won’t come out until it’s turned off. The idea of choosing between spending the entire summer sweating or taking years off my cat’s life from the stress isn’t too appealing. Has anyone had any success curing their cats fear of anything noisy, air conditioners, fans, hairdryers, vacuum cleaners, etc.? Thanks for your help.

this is on a 454 with airconditioner, just going down the road 70 mph can cause it to overheat, the temperature gauge is working because at one point the water in the radiator was boiling.

Absorption coolers need heat. Could I build a car airconditioner by absorption (of ammonia ?) using the waste heat of the exhaust pipe. This woul be a great saving of energy.
