Room Air Conditioners…

I have a Lexus IS300. I always turn off my air conditioner before I turn off my car.

I have an inverter air-conditioner that on a hot day produces a lot of water (about 3 litres an hour – I measured it). I always thought the water was just extracted from the air in the air-conditioning process and would be very free of chemicals but I wondering if anyone new if it was safe. I m not planning to have a drink of it but thought I could use it to water herbs and vegetables. Any advice would be great.

i am getting a old general brand window air conditioner from a neighbour and it is a 2.5hp reverse cycle type and i want to know can it be used on a 10 amp 240v power point ?

Regular air conditioners are mounted in a window and bring cool air in while pushing hot air out. Portable air conditioners can be placed anywhere inside the house. Don’t they need to push hot air out? How is this possible?

The air conditioner was cooling but it wasn’t getting cold. So, I bought an after-market air conditioner charging kit. Immediately after I charged it, the air was extremely cold. The next day, however, the air would not get cold. It was fluctuating from cool to warm and then back cool again. Any ideas why or how to fix it? I would rather not have to take it to an auto shop.

yes! the correct method is to mix: 1 part air conditioner water, with 3 parts water from toilet bowl.
some people forego all that by just getting a glass of freakin water from the sink faucet.

It is biomedical waste incinerator and is situated about 500 m from my home. It is producing toxic fumes in the night for about 3 hours . Will installing an airconditioner in my room flter the air I breath from the toxic fumes(dioxin, smoke etc.) The whole air around my house is filled by this poison gas from 3am in the morning to 5am.

to be done legally and safely…
it has to be done at a licensed facility that is equipped to recover freon from those products
they have special machines that they use to recover the freon so none escapes into the environment
