The air conditioner should be used in a WV beetle Car. I dont want to put water or Ice. It must work after the power supply given (12v).

Can you compare it with other appliances? Like, does it consume more than a TV or an airconditioner?
I want to know this because I charge my laptop overnight as I leave it on for downloading purpose. Recently our bill came up to 2500Rs for a month so I want to know does charging your laptop overnight makes a considerable difference to your electricity bill.
Are air conditioners with inverter technology consuming less energy?
I am about to buy an air conditioner for my home.
Some of the air conditoners i saw in the stores have “inverter” technology and are generally more expensive than those without this “inverter” thing.
The salesmen are telling me that those with inverter tech. are consuming less energy. Is it so? Is it worth the price difference?
