It acts more like an air conditioner when the ice is encased in 2 liter bottles… But I am not sure it works really well when used unless you are right near it. I’m trying to cool a (small) 80 cubic feet area.
So all winter long the heater worked fine. Well we finally broke down and turned on the air conditioner because it was reaching the 100’s in our apartment. Well it worked for the first couple of hours then it stopped working. It still blew some cold air but not enough and not hard enough. We called the landlords and someone came out and looked at it today, but he says it needs a new air conditioner and has for some time. I guess he works for them a lot and he says they are over 40 Does anyone know what kind of action we can take if they don’t fix our air conditioner. I mean the reason why we chose this place was because it had central heat and air. My husband and I are beginning to suffer from imsomnia from not being able to sleep because of the heat. We have fans, but they just circulate the hot air. Please help if you know anything about landlord tenant laws of have been in this situation yourself.
I need an air conditioner for a 150 sq foot room. with an adjustable auto thermostate that turns off when it hits its target temp. It is very important that it is quite. Please help.

I don’t know if I should buy a windowless portable air conditioner or a regular portable air conditioner that vents throught the window. It is for a first floor room in the front of the house (garage converted to a bedroom).

So I’ve had portable air conditioners before and I know how they work, except this ones a little different.
Where the big hose attaches to the air con unit, there’s a long black tube inside (where the hot air gets vented).
Am I supposed to direct the tube to the window? The instructions don’t even mention the black tube, since it’s a general instruction booklet for multiple units. Please help.
