Why Does My Air Conditioner Only Blow On High?

I have a 2002 explorer and the air conditioner only blows on the highest setting. It cools great, but the fan does not work on the lower settings. Any idea why?

Either the switch or the heater blower resistor is bad. You will have to remove the switch and check it with a volt meter. If the switch is operating properly it will leave the resistor as the problem. Hope this helps :)

This problem is common in Nissan vehicles. In those cars, it is caused by a relay or resistor in the blower. It is a very cheap part to replace and will fix the problem.
