Why Does My Air Conditioner Blow A Fuse On My Router?

When ever I turn on or off my window air conditioner in my room, it blows a fuse to my modem/router in my bedroom and cuts off the internet for a minute. This is really annoying and im wondering if there is a way to stop this from happening.
