What Can Cause My Home Air Conditioner To All Of A Sudden Stop Working?

Neither the fan or air conditioner cuts on and the temperature reading on the thermostat says 71 when its way hotter then that.

    it looks like the thermostat is bad,as long as the thermostat reading is lower than the setting,its not coming back on,so move the setting below the 71 and it will start again,good luck

    most air conditioners that are instaled in your home..not window units have what is called a float switch. if your condensate drain line backe up it will shut the unit off to prevent flooding in your home.you will find this on the airhandler..inside unit.it will be next to the drain line.check thats first.then power

    Start by checking the fuses out by the air compressor,usually located on the side of the house.Chances are one or both of the fuses is blown.If you unsure how to check them,just replace them,they are relatively cheap.

    Depends how long you’ve had it, its either ran out of gas ( some run on gas as back home my family got a gas converter) or its knackered.
