Sometimes Fan Not Operating On Central Air Conditioner?

Sometimes fan in furnace stop working. The air conditioner outside is operating while fan not on. I can feel hotter and find out fan is not working even thermostat tells to work on automatically. I had to shut off the breaker switch and on and everything working normal. What’s wrong? Thermostat or fan?
If I do not notice, the air conditioner keeps on so I am wasting power while rooms get hotter…. since rooms is hotter and do not get any cooler, so air conditioner outside keeps working until I notice.

The relay (switch) switching the fan may be sticking. ~

lines could be frozen , filter needs changing, or low on freon.
    I’d try in that order.
