I have 2 standard winow air conditioners and have moved to an apartment w/ sliding windows. Or can something be built to allow installation?

I take out the sash in sliding window and purchased a piece of clear plastic cut to fit the area above the air conditioner. Some good quality clear tape and weatherstrip around the plastic and it works well, been doing that for several years.

If the windows slide sideways, you need a vertical window AC unit.
