Insulate An Air Conditioner Placed In A Wooden Frame?

had an old air conditioner and put a new smaller one in. The chassis has a gap which i framed out with wood. Whats the best way to insulate the area between the wood and the air conditioner so it won’t cause a draft in the winter?

    Dap caulk…..or get a piece of foam board to cover the wood use the caulk as a glue for the board and to seal the gap?
