I Have A Kenmore Air Conditioner Window Unit And I Can’t Figure Out How To Open It To Get The Filter Out To
I have a tall Kenmore air conditioner window unit and I need to open it up to take the filter out to clean it. I can’t figure out how to open it.

There may be screws in the side of the cover or just pull the top out and push down and the inside cover should come off. Also for filter access the panel in front of cover may just slide sideways to see filter.
If I could see it I could tell ya better.
HVAC Tech.: Sears would be a likely place to start as that is their brand. Seems to me you can place one hand under each front lower corner and lift up slightly and the top will tilt toward you and the filter is in back or that. Keep in mind the filter needs cleaning at least once a month. 1-800-4my-home is number for sears have model # handy when you call.
You can also go to lowe’s and get this stuff in an aerosol can that you just spray on there and it cleans it itself..you don’t even have to wipe it off!
