How Much Will It Cost To Fix My Car’s Air Conditioner?
I have a 98 Saturn and I also want to know if my friend is the one who possibly broke it. One day he was fighting with his gf on the phone, after he got off, he hit the top of the passenger side dashboard very hard. A few weeks after that, the air conditioner started making strange cranking type noises every minute or so. I didn’t use my air conditioner alot then because it wasn’t hot yet, but the past few months I’ve been using it and it kept making the strange grinding noise but now it broke completely. When I turn it on, no air comes at all, and it makes no noise, like it’s not even on. Several of my friends say my other friend could have busted the motor and my dad checked the fuses I think and said they’re ok and that yes, the motor is located under the passenger side dashboard.
So did my friend brake it? He said he’d pay for it and that I need to get estimates, but I just want to know if anyone has a general idea about how much it may cost to fix it. Thanks!

If their is air coming out of the vents but it is not cold, then no your friend did not break it. If no air at all is coming out, either hot or cold, then your friend could have broke it but probably not.
