First the leak must be repaired so the freon doesn’t get out again. Then the service person will re-fill the unit. You cannot do it yourself.

freon must be added to your A/C unit by a certified licensed HVAC person

it is illegal to do it yourself

    has been since 1994

If this unit uses R-22 you have to have an EPA type 1 certification.

If it is a newer unit that uses R-410a then you can buy the refrigerant and service the unit yourself.

I don’t believe you personally can do this hon! You’ll have to call an A/C specialist.

First you’d have to buy a bullet piercing valve to place on the suction line and then you’d have to add the right amount of freon , provided that you have any or can buy it.
Since you’re asking, I assume you wouldn’t know the correct pressure according to the ambient temperature chart and when to stop charging into it.
That is why people go to college and pay money for these courses in order to get certified so that they know all this.
Call the air condition guy or buy a new one.
I know this sounds harsh but it’s the truth.
