Do They Make Air Conditioners That Blow Down Or Straight?

The hole for the a/c is near the ceiling so the air blows right into the ceiling. Plus there was mold growing in the area where it blows out. I’m going to try a diverter but any other ideas.

Only the diverter. Mold is a sign that moisture is coming from the duct. You may want to get this checked out.
