I wanted to live in Alaska cuz I wont need an air conditioner but a heater instead…
I’m wondering how people make it there having temperatures below zero half year long.

Don’t go to Alaska go to California along the coast. For example the Monterey bay you do not need an air conditioner or even a fan. Spring, Summer and Fall temps range from 45 coolest to 85 highest . Most of the time temps are from 55 to 73 degrees F. The sea breeze keeps it cool (and fog) Only a few miles east (15 or more miles ) temperatures can be very warm in the summer. But near the coast it is very mild.
Winter -from December to March -most temp’s 45 to 65 and sometimes in the wee hours of the morning 30 degrees but only for a few hours.
    Why go to Alaska?

Alaska has Summer too. I visited last summer and the temperature was in the mid 80s. There was still snow on the mountain tops though.

Yes we need ac, but can do with out it your body does get used to the cold so when it gets in to the 70s it feels warm,
Fairbanks has a very warm summer temps do get into the 90’s.
For instance to day it was in the 70s and I was running the ac.

In my opinion no you don’t need an air conditioner living in Alaska. I lived around the Fairbanks area for 3 yrs before my husband got new orders to move to Wyoming. I absolutely loved it there. The way I survived the winters was working and and keeping myself busy with other activities. If you are a winter person there’s stuff to do like hunting, ice fishing, skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiles. During the summer it’s just fantastic. You have sunlight for a good 20 hrs. I recommend it for only the hearty people that like the wilderness and enjoy the pristine beauty of the state.
