Do All Portable Air Conditioners Have A Hose That Must Be Put Out A Window?

If that is the case; that you have to put a hose out the window; how do you do it? Do you have to cut a hole out of your screen to stick the hose out? Then you always have a hole in a perfectly good screen. Or, you have to open your window a crack to stick the hose out & anything can fly in. Do these portables all come with hoses? Also, do they drip water on your floor? Thanks everyone !! Linda

Assuming you mean the window units. The water drips out the back part that sticks outside the window, no hose necessary. That goes for the new ones, meaning something made in the last 10 years…..
If you mean the new room AC that sit on wheels, then I beleive they have a drip pan that needs to be emptied, not really sure I would call Home Depot and ask them.
