Are There Non-drip Window Unit Air Conditioners?

The air conditioner I had was dripping and getting the whole sidewalk wet. My land lady said I had to get a non drip one. The one I had was older though.

    Nope. AC units drip because they cool the air and cold air can’t hang on to as much moisture as hot air. Your only option would be to install a drain hose to drain the water somewhere else.

    No, they have to drip if not the water turns to ice and will damage the machine….tell the land lady to get real.. water won’t hurt a sidewalk…

    they all drip, but some have piping to carry it away. but why would the landlady object to water? Doesn’t rain where you are?

    some units come with an evaporator tray that is heated
    allowing the water to ,you guessed it Evaporate
