I have a samsung airconditioner. Yesterday I changed the batteries of my remote control, I dont know if the remote somehow got reset because of this, but when i was testing it out and pressed the power button. my airconditioner went off but now sinds than it has 6 blinking lights, 5 red and the one all the way on the left is a green light. and it wont turn on. the remote seems like its working, but whatever i press the airco just makes a sound but nothing happens, asif it needs to be re-set or as if it is in sleep mode or something. I dont know much about the airconditioner but these are the following details I got off it:

Any idea what the problem is, and how I can fix it please…
I mean, if I use 1 HP (horse power) air conditioner, say for 8 hours per day, howmany KWh will be read at the end of a month? Can it be calculate?
I have a newer Kenmore 8000 btu window air conditioner and lately, no matter where I set the temp at the compressor keeps cycling , blowing cold air and never shuts off. After a while it gets so cold in the room you could hang slabs of beef. I can set it at 80 and keeps running. Any ideas?

They aren’t really leaking anything. There is a refrigerant coil inside of the unit and the humid air causes condensation. It is the same thing that happens to a cold drink or the tank on your toilet when it is hot. The condensation runs out of the housing and that is the “leak” you see.
I have an air conditioner unit in my bedroom, and it’s not blowing out cold air. I cleaned the filter, the fan works fine, it’s just the air that comes out isn’t cold. When I have it on high cool the air is the same temperature as when I have it on high fan. Is there anything I can do without buying a new one? If so how much will it cost? I prefer to do any work myself without hiring someone. Thanks!
had an old air conditioner and put a new smaller one in. The chassis has a gap which i framed out with wood. Whats the best way to insulate the area between the wood and the air conditioner so it won’t cause a draft in the winter?

I own a maruti zen. Its a 2002 model. The airconditioning system in the car is performing very poor. It doesn’t have any cooling effect. Can anyone give some suggestions to improve that? I am in Chennai.
