By turning off the car air conditioner and finding the passenger floor dries out, would this be proof that a clogged tube was the cause of the problem and not the heater core ?

These last few days have been scorchers for my pooch and me. As i don’t have an airconditioner I was wondering if there was a dog friendly place with a.c. where I can take him for a few hours to beat the heat in downtown L.A. (or really anywhere)
If they do, how is that harmful towards the environment.
I have one of the Mitsubitshi Mr Slim (ductless split conditioner) units installed in my bedroom. The problem is that it emits a mildewy / foul smell when I leave it to run on “fan mode”. It does not emit stinky air though when I put it on low temperatures (which involves the compressor running). I wonder what is the reason for that, and how I can get rid of that smell once and for all. Please help and thank you!
Any one can give me some tips on how to diagnose it and fix it? Fan is working fine at various speeds but air is same as outside temperature. Car has been in parking garage for extended period of time in last year. Car had 72K miles and in excellent running condition.
Freezing weather does not affect your air conditioner as there is no water involved only freon.
Some think do not cover your air conditioner while stored in the shed other say do. I would cover in a large plastic bag to keep the dirt out.
At the start of the cooling season, take your air conditioner out, put on a couple saw horses, disassemble the cover, (Make sure it is not plugged in) wash out the insides and allow to drain, was the cooling fins from the inside by spraying with water, drain all the water out of the air conditioner, do not get water on the part that is going inside the house, use a vacuum cleaner attachment and an old toothbrush to clean those fins. After everything is clean and dry, plug in the air conditioner and make sure it works properly, last thing you want to do is lug it to a window, install and find out it does not work.Make sure the air filter is clean before you put it all back together then install.
